Thigh Lift with Microsurgery
Microsurgery: A Revolution for Thigh Lifts
Sagging thighs can now be treated without long incisions and significant aesthetic scarring. With the new microsurgical lifting technique, tightening is achieved using an innovative drill, and excess skin gradually disappears, millimeter by millimeter, leaving no visible marks on the skin.
Slim Legs, Free from Cellulite and Localized Adiposity with Microsurgical Thigh Lift
A significant factor in determining the beauty of legs is undoubtedly the tone of the tissues, particularly the inner thighs, which are very prone to sagging. This is a particularly critical area that is susceptible, even at a young age, to what doctors call "ptosis".
Sagging in this area can occur for various reasons
- Sudden and constant weight loss;
- Insufficient or absent physical activity;
- Physiological processes (aging);
- Gravitational forces that pull tissues (if not very toned) downwards, causing them to visibly fall from their original position;
Regardless of the cause, the result remains the same: flabby, sagging thighs, prone to causing uncomfortable chafing with every step and the easy appearance of stretch marks.
Microsurgery for Dream Legs
For ideal tightening of the inner thigh, there is no other solution than to turn to cosmetic surgery, using the lifting technique. However, the drawback of the traditional technique is that it leaves a thin, long scar that, starting from the buttock fold, almost reaches the groin. This scar sometimes compromises the aesthetic quality of the result. To overcome this problem, a new microsurgical technique has been developed, which is particularly suitable for sagging thighs and buttocks, especially if they are not too pronounced. This type of intervention is able to provide appreciable tightening and two important advantages: preventing a significant scarring process and promoting, and this is an obvious consequence of the first, faster tissue healing and the absence of obvious scars.
What is the difference between microsurgery and traditional thigh lift?
The difference between traditional and microsurgical thigh lift lies essentially in the procedure used. The former removes a large portion of skin, using a scalpel, which causes significant scarring. The latter removes several micro-portions of dermis, using a sophisticated microsurgical instrument, calibrated to the millimeter.
The objective is the same: to eliminate excess skin caused by sagging, even if, from an aesthetic point of view, there is a considerable difference. Indeed, microsurgical lifting, thanks to micro-ablations, fully respects the harmony of the leg to the point that the surgical marks, a few weeks after treatment, will not be aesthetically detectable.
How is a microsurgical thigh lift performed?
Before the microsurgical thigh lift
The microsurgical thigh lift is applied in cases of moderate ptosis of the inner thighs. It is advisable to intervene in this case because, in addition to the immediate aesthetic benefit, it will contribute to a preventive action against relaxation which, if not countered quickly, will lead in a short time to more obvious consequences of dysmorphia.
The microsurgical thigh lift procedure
After the administration of a local anesthetic (performed simultaneously with the administration of vasoconstricting substances to minimize bleeding), the microsurgical lift begins. Unlike the traditional lift, which involves a single, large incision with obvious scarring consequences, this technique aims to remove the same amount of excess skin but gradually, so as not to cause aesthetically obvious scars. The instrument performs micro-excisions of the dermis, so small (1 millimeter in diameter) that once healed, there are no signs of surgery on the treated area.
At the end of the surgical session, which lasts 20 to 30 minutes, partial tightening of the area is achieved, which can be completed in a subsequent session, after 15/20 days (ideal period to allow for good tissue healing). The postoperative period does not include stitches, but only the application of a surgical cast that can be removed in 7/10 days.
After the microsurgical thigh lift
This is the final session: the remaining area is tightened. As you can see, the microsurgical lifting technique requires particular precision and slightly longer lead times than the traditional procedure. On the other hand, the aesthetic benefits are better, as is the return to social life (the skin heals spontaneously in about ten days). Microsurgery is undoubtedly a less invasive procedure and does not disfigure the skin, which, once healed, will not bear aesthetically significant traces of the operation.
Thigh tightening can be admired in all its splendor a few weeks after the microsurgery session. The introduction of the microsurgical lifting technique allows for scarless tightening.
Can a microsurgical thigh lift be combined with other procedures?
The microsurgical thigh lift can be applied simultaneously with other interventions aimed at reshaping the leg profile. With liposuction, for example, if there are localized fat deposits on the inner or outer thighs, but also in the knee area. Both techniques are always performed under local anesthesia or, if particularly extensive areas are involved, under epidural anesthesia (from the waist). Appreciable results are also obtained in case of stretch marks on the relaxed part. With the excess skin, during the microsurgical lift, these will also be eliminated with a double improvement of the area.
When the thighs sag, the tissues are compressed in the posterior part creating an overemphasis of the buttock fold. The buttocks then appear to sag with a rather unaesthetic effect. In this case, a buttock lift would not bring any benefit. The solution lies rather in the reshaping of the buttock fold, always performed using the microsurgical technique. The buttocks acquire a more harmonious line and the tightening therefore has a more global result, to be admired from all points of view.
