Rigenera: Hair Mesotherapy
How does the Rigenera technique work?
Hair loss is a widespread phenomenon affecting both men and women. It's a condition whose frequency increases with age, but it also manifests in young people.
The first signs of male baldness are a receding hairline at the frontal and temporal levels and thinning at the parietal level. In men, baldness depends on an increased sensitivity of hair to androgen hormones and a genetic predisposition.
In women, baldness manifests as a progressive thinning of hair in the central region of the head: the hair is sparse and no longer covers the scalp. The change in hair size and structure creates a lightening zone in the parietal and frontal region, creating the classic Christmas tree image.
The latest innovative method of hair regeneration is called Rigenera Activa. It is currently one of the best available hair-related biological therapies for the treatment of hair loss/damage. Rigenera Activa technology for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia puts the follicle into the telogen cycle so that new hair grows, while strengthening those that are still active. This super modern method can be applied before or even combined with hair transplantation, but in many cases it also offers an alternative to hair grafting.
Who is Rigenera mesotherapy for?
Hair loss, in most cases genetically determined and hereditary, called androgenetic alopecia, is a frequent inconvenience affecting young people, especially between 20 and 30 years old, mainly males.
The repercussions on the psychological serenity of young patients are not negligible, because alopecia is not accepted by young subjects who interpret this event as a serious defect, capable of harming their relational life. A few years ago, the only real therapeutic strategy for androgenetic alopecia was to wait for the end of hair loss, then try to thicken the alopecic areas through hair grafting.
Rigenera Activa is indicated for men and women suffering from alopecia.
The ideal candidate is the patient suffering from telogen effluvium, i.e., hair loss, or the patient whose alopecia is in its early stages and therefore of moderate or moderate degree (grade III according to the Norwood-Hamilton scale for men and grade II according to the Ludwig scale for women).
If the alopecia is severe, it is preferable to consider a hair transplant, which will give better results. In this case, Rigenera Activa therapy can be combined with hair grafting, as it is able to increase and improve the rooting of transplanted bulbs.
There are some specific considerations/conditions, depending on the technological protocol, for patients undergoing Rigenera Activa, for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia:
- Important condition, patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) must have sufficient hair follicles/hair (hypotrophy) and a proportional baldness area;
- A healthy scalp;
- Absence of inflammation and irritation;
- Blood test in the normal range;
- A healthy diet;
- Follicular units must be obtained from a healthy area;
How does a Rigenera mesotherapy session take place?
The therapy works thanks to a refined method of hair regeneration, focused on androgenetic alopecia. The Regenera Activa treatment uses its own hair tissue containing cells that help activate the follicles around the weakened and hormone-affected bald area. In short, it leverages the body's ability to create new hair, thus activating a regenerative form of hair.
The procedure takes place in 3 steps, which can of course be comfortably performed in a clinic.
The complete treatment is quite fast (it lasts about 30 to 40 minutes), painless, and the patients' comfort level is therefore maximal, compared to a longer and more demanding medical procedure:
- Step 1: it is performed under local anesthesia, at the neck level, using a small 2.5 mm punch, on which 3 skin samples are taken. The sampling procedure is performed on the previously anesthetized scalp area;
- Step 2: the samples are subjected to a "tissue obtaining" procedure and, after filtration, the stem cells, general skin cells and a growth factor solution, all with regenerative capacities, are separated;
- Step 3: the revitalizing mixture extract is reintroduced using small needles into the sparse area of the bald scalp;

What are the results of Rigenera mesotherapy?
Once the treatment is finished, you can immediately resume your normal life, while waiting for the natural regeneration process to evolve over 3 to 6 months.
The real novelty is that the induced regenerative stimulus continues its action in the following months, stimulating the growth of new hair and strengthening existing hair. The results are lasting and last on average 18 to 24 months.
A correct lifestyle, a good diet and careful care of scalp hygiene with quality products will contribute to lasting results.
It is particularly indicated for young people who fear a progressive thinning of hair (and who may have a bald father!) and for women in whom grafting is not always possible.
The first results will be visible after about two months, and after about six months it will be possible to notice an improvement, not only in the quality of the hair, but also in its density and a slowing down of hair loss. Regenera can be repeated after two or three years to prevent the progression of androgenetic alopecia.
Patients suffering from baldness should remember that it is a progressive condition and often of genetic and hereditary origin.
Rigenera can slow down the appearance of baldness and considerably reduce its symptoms thanks to its ability to regrow hair.
There are no particular side effects and the results of a session can last up to two or three years.
