Personalized Health Check-up: Analyses, imaging and targeted examinations according to your age, gender and medical history
How does it work?
What is a health check-up and why is it important?
A health check-up is a complete assessment of a person’s health status, also called a medical check-up. This comprehensive approach includes a battery of tests and medical examinations aimed at detecting potential health problems, assessing risks and preventing diseases. It may include elements such as a thorough physical examination, blood tests, specific screening tests such as a cardiac assessment, medical imaging examinations and other additional tests depending on individual needs. It is strongly recommended to have a regular health check-up, particularly from a certain age or if one has particular risk factors.
What is the price of a health check-up?
To obtain a complete health check-up, many factors can influence its price, such as location, the choice of clinic or medical center, as well as the scope of medical examinations included. Keep in mind that the health system and health insurance vary from country to country and may cover part of the costs, especially for social security beneficiaries. However, reimbursement methods and specific criteria may differ depending on insurance plans. It is therefore advisable to inquire with your insurance provider to find out the details of coverage for a complete health check-up.

How to get a health check-up?
To perform a comprehensive health check-up, it is recommended to follow some essential steps. First, it is important to make an appointment at a screening or prevention center. These specialized centers offer complete check-ups including a set of medical examinations. During your visit, you will undergo a complete examination, including basic measurements such as blood pressure, weight, height, as well as questions about your medical history and any symptoms. Then, specific examinations can be carried out according to your age, gender and individual risk factors. This may include tests adapted to your profile.
Health check-up: when and where to do it?
To take care of your health, it is recommended to have a complete health check-up regularly, taking into account your age, gender, medical history and personal risk factors. In general, healthy adults should have a complete health check-up once a year, but this may vary depending on their individual needs. To do this, you can go to a specialized health examination center or the periodic health examination department in your region. These structures are equipped with health professionals and medical devices necessary to perform thorough examinations and analyses. In addition, they offer a conducive environment to take care of your well-being.
Health Check-up or Check-up procedure by Tunisia Destination Santé
The Health Check-ups offered by TDS always begin with a consultation with our general practitioner to check the patient’s health status. Depending on any warning signs, the doctor may add examinations to the check-up formula previously chosen by the patient. The biometric assessment will be done (Weight, Height, BMI), blood pressure will be taken and vital signs measured (Pulse, SPO2 and Temperature). The biological assessment will be adapted according to the chosen formula. It includes, among other things, a hematological, renal, hepatic, metabolic, thyroid and a serological assessment (hepatitis B and C). A radiological assessment will also be done as well as a cardiac assessment. Thus, all vital functions will be diagnosed during this check-up. For women over 50, breast cancer screening will be offered. The same will be true for those with a family history.
On request, the biological assessment can be done at home or at the hotel. All other examinations take place on the premises of our partner clinics and radiological centers in Tunis.
Depending on age, an endoscopy and/or a colonoscopy may also be indicated. The patient can also add options such as ophthalmology (consultation and examination), dentistry (consultation + panoramic X-ray and cone beam), orthopedics (consultation + 2 X-rays), a nutritional assessment (nutritional blood test) as well as any other specialty (consultation). You can request a quote standard or customized with an affordable price.
What is the recommended frequency for a health check-up?
To optimize your health, it is important to consider several elements when planning your health check-up. Your age, medical history, personal risk factors and advice from healthcare professionals are all factors to consider. As a general rule, it is recommended to have a complete check-up at least once a year for healthy adults. This practice allows for regular monitoring of overall health status, early detection of potential pathologies or abnormalities, and the implementation of preventive measures. However, for people with particular risks such as a family history of specific diseases or chronic medical conditions, a more frequent frequency may be recommended.
