Dental Prostheses in Tunisia
When one or more teeth are broken, prosthetic reconstruction is often an effective solution. Dental prostheses can be removable (dentures) or fixed such as crowns or bridges. Removable dentures remain the most economical solution but are very inconvenient. The crown can have the same shade as the other teeth. The crown can be made of porcelain or zirconia. It can be placed on the damaged tooth or on a dental implant. Several successive crowns can be made with a bridge. You can consult us for a personalized quote.
Dental Veneers or Hollywood Smile in Tunisia
What are dental veneers?
Dental veneers have gained a lot of interest in recent years among young and old alike. Indeed, thanks to showbiz stars, the Hollywood Smile has made dental veneers popular in the United States and Europe. This technique consists of bonding porcelain or zirconia veneers 1-2 mm thick to the existing teeth that have been previously prepared. The result is often impressive and allows the patient to have aligned teeth and a bright white color.
Do I get veneers on the top or bottom teeth?
Patients often choose to have their upper teeth done (4 or 6 depending on the width of the smile), but some do not hesitate to have their lower teeth done as well. Dental veneers can also be a solution for patients who have gaps between their teeth. When there is significant misalignment of certain teeth, veneers alone cannot improve the patient’s smile. In this case, a combination of veneers/dental crowns will be placed on the upper and/or lower teeth.
Can I combine dental veneers with other procedures?
In Tunisia and thanks to our dental specialists, TDS offers you packages for dental veneers. A 4-day working stay in Tunis is required. You can combine dental veneers with other procedures, treatments or surgeries such as cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, etc. You can consult us for a personalized quote.
Implants and Dental Care in Tunisia
A dental implant is an artificial titanium root that is placed in the jawbone. A few months after placement (3 to 6 months), a dental crown made of porcelain or zirconia will be placed on the dental implant. Thus, this “implant + crown” combination can replace one or more missing teeth. Dental implants are increasingly being used in older people but also in younger people.
The All On 4, All On 6, All On 8 technique
When the patient has all their teeth missing on the upper and/or lower jaw, we can use the All On 4, All On 6 or sometimes All On 8 technique. This technique consists of placing 4, 6 or 8 implants on the jaw to be treated, on which a prosthesis with all the previously prepared crowns will be fixed. This technique is not only less expensive than placing 14 or 15 separate dental implants, but also easier to implement and less painful for the patient.

How to organize a medical stay for an All On 4?
For All On 4 implant placement, two stays are required, spaced 3 to 6 months apart. In addition, 2 to 3 working days are needed for the 1st medical stay, during which a clinical examination will be carried out by our specialist and the dental implants will be placed. Then, 3 to 6 months later, the patient should return for the crown placement. Finally, you should allow 4 to 5 working days for the second stay.
When do I need a bone graft?
In some cases, the bone density of the jaw is not sufficient for the placement of dental implants. This is why, in some cases, a bone graft must be performed. A check-up after 3 to 6 months will be necessary to verify the good adherence and healing of the bone graft. Then, the placement of dental implants can be done. Note that if the patient needs a bone graft, a stay is often necessary before the placement of dental implants.
Length of stay in Tunisia for a dental implant?
After reviewing the medical file, the procedure for dental implants with crowns generally requires two stays in Tunisia. First, the dentist fixes the dental implants in the patient’s jaw. Then, after 8 to 12 weeks and after healing and the implants are well-seated, we can schedule the second stay for the work and placement of crowns. Generally, the second medical stay is scheduled 3 months after the first. Note that this does not take into account any bone grafting that may be necessary before dental implants.
Many patients take advantage of these two stays to have a cosmetic surgery procedure such as a blepharoplasty, a breast lift or an abdominoplasty. You can consult us for a personalized quote.
